title: Primeval Perry, The World Beneath the Willow
author: April J
category: fiction • subcategory: biblical • date submitted: 6.28.2025 • author id: JoApPr15525
word count: 20000
ContentPromo Sentence:A fall through the willow leads to the rise to the call - only faith can bring him home. Sales Handle:"The Chronicles of Narnia meets Jurassic Park with a faith-driven heart." When Perry's mom finds a rundown house deep in the woods, Perry resigns himself to a summer of crumbling ceilings, raccoon evictions, and missing pastries. But when a weeping willow in the backyard hides a strange portal, Perry stumbles into a primeval world where dinosaurs still roam, ancient civilizations thrive, and dark spiritual forces threaten the last uncorrupted people. In the hidden land of Adamah, Perry befriends Noe, a boy from a tribe known as the Adamah, descendants of Adam and Eve. As Perry tries to find a way home, he’s drawn into the villagers’ struggle against the Fallen Ones, ancient beings who twist creation and seek to rule through corruption and fear. When the Fallen kidnap innocent villagers, Perry must find the courage to stand alongside his new friends. Battling his own fear and doubt, he discovers that faith, loyalty, and hope are stronger than even the most powerful enemies. In the end, Perry returns home—but forever changed by the truth he glimpsed beneath the willow. Primeval Perry: The World Beneath the Willow is par of an early middle-grade adventure series that blends biblical allegory, speculative science, and Christian apologetics in a way that aligns naturally with Kregel Publications’ focus on gospel-centered storytelling. Like many of Kregel’s titles, this novel equips young readers with truth through imaginative fiction, helping them explore foundational questions about faith, creation, and courage in a world filled with wonder and spiritual tension. With humor, heart, and timeless themes, Primeval Perry offers a faith-centered alternative to mainstream fantasy. It's perfect for fans of The Green Ember, The Wingfeather Saga, and Kregel’s own apologetics-forward titles.

ContentHow The Robin Got A Redbreast is a French Folk Tale which I've retold as a picture book for children one to eight. There are many nativity stories in the market place, but How The Robin Got A Redbreast is unique and unfamiliar. The story will become a favorite tradition for families to read each Christmas. It will show children their heart is more important than their size. Children will enjoy the repetitive line throughout the story and the surprise ending.

word count: 85000
ContentWhat if the true story of Creation, the Fall, and humanity's first hope lay hidden, waiting to be reclaimed from a world drowning in deception? In an antediluvian age where Eden is but a fading whisper and the Serpent’s influence spreads like a plague, patriarch Enoch, lore-keeper for Adam's last faithful descendants, is divinely called. A vision reveals Adam's own testimony, locked away for millennia in the legendary Cave of Sorrows, holding the key to mankind's past and the Creator's ancient promise of redemption. Joined by his untested son Methuselah, Enoch embarks on a perilous quest across a corrupted landscape, confronting ancient evils and the rising power of the Nephilim. To secure the sacred record, he must forge unlikely alliances with noble Giants wrestling their dark heritage and resilient women scarred by loss, all while hunted by forces determined to extinguish the light of truth. Can Enoch preserve this vital history and the hope it contains before the encroaching darkness consumes all?

title: The Immigrant's Daughter
author: Will C
category: fiction • subcategory: historical • date submitted: 6.26.2025 • author id: CarWe70125
word count: 88000
ContentIt was the summer of 1941 on Bainbridge Island, a breathtaking setting of ocean, mountains, and sunsets, smelling of sea salt and rhododendrons, where the sea not only offered an abundance of fish, but the people from many ethnic backgrounds all got along in this warm and caring community. Sailboats lined the harbor, Mt Rainier, rising in the distance, framed the Seattle skyline a short ferry ride away. It was the scent of freedom, of youth, but also of a world teetering on the edge of something none of them could yet name. As the weather cooled into fall, two young lovers—an Irish boy and a Japanese girl—defied whispered warnings and parental objections, weaving dreams of a future neither could fully imagine. Then came December. The radio crackled with news of Pearl Harbor, and in an instant, everything they had known was gone. Joe McDuff was called to war, training as a fighter pilot, putting him in harm’s way. Mio Kamara was called to something else entirely—an internment camp. No--- more like a prison camp—a place where barbed wire and machine-gun towers replaced the home she had always known. They made a promise to each other—to wait, to hold on. But war has a way of testing devotion, of unraveling even the strongest vows. Would their loyalty---to each other--- to their nation---stay true? Would they somehow find God…or would God find them? And as the world burned, one question remained— Would their love survive? Would they find hope amid the fire?

title: Ministry: Every Christian. Every Moment. Wherever We Go.
author: Tyler H
category: nonfiction • subcategory: spiritualgrowth • date submitted: 6.21.2025 • author id: HaTyMi16325
word count: 23700
ContentMany Christians, young and old, misunderstand their significance in ministry. So many Christians think they are unqualified, when it is God who qualifies them. So many think they are unexperienced, when it is God's desire to use their story to change lives. So many think there are believers better suited to serve, when God Himself is calling them to serve. God has a unique plan and calling for each person's life. If they choose to truly follow Him, He will transform their life and use them in ways they never would have imagined possible. Countless people think ministry means to be a pastor, missionary, or perhaps a non-profit worker, but in reality, the possibilities are endless. God's plan for each person is for them to live the best life they ever could; a life in which they are free to be the person He created them to be. Ministry is not simply a job or a program. Ministry is a lifestyle of loving and serving the Lord with all one's heart. That is something every Christian is called to do every moment of their life wherever they go, living a life worthy of their calling.

title: When Birth Hurts: An Honest Look at Natural Childbirth
author: Genesis B
category: nonfiction • subcategory: children • date submitted: 6.21.2025 • author id: BrGeWh15625
word count: 30000
ContentBirth hurts. Like, a lot. When I was preparing for my first natural birth, I completely surrounded myself with resources which promised me a pain-free labor. I had only to do the correct exercises, drink the best teas, pray the specific prayers, push in the right positions, and a pain-free natural birth would be achieved. I was told to reshape my thinking. I was told that if I thought of contractions as pressure instead of pain, I could make it through transition without a total mental breakdown. Yeah, no. As I hit transition full force, screaming and rolling around the birth bed, yelling out "I'm gonna die!! I'm gonna die!!" much to the dismay of my husband, I knew in the deepest part of my being that I had been lied to. Birth is not painless. Birth hurts. This is the book I wish I had read when I was pregnant with my first. This is the book I wish I had read when I was preparing for my second. This is a book that honestly looks at the suffering of childbearing and ponders why God, in His infinite goodness and wisdom, would call us mamas to endure such pain. This book is not designed to distract or detract from the suffering of childbearing, as many books are, but is rather designed to help mamas press in to the suffering of childbearing. God is with us, and we know that even in our moments of weakness and pain, God is our ever-present helper. He is our rock when all other things shake. He is our Good Shepherd who leads us through the dark valleys and green pastures alike. And God is near to the brokenhearted. Even when birth hurts.

When his charismatic friend Lorencz von Czocha makes a reckless choice—a choice Tilo believes he helped spark—Tilo demands his inheritance and sets out to craft a life of indulgence and self-made glory. At first, freedom is intoxicating. But as choices grow heavier, friendships fracture, and money runs thin, Tilo finds himself farther from home—in every sense—than he ever imagined. Unforeseen enemies and costly mistakes soon leave him empty, disgraced, and alone. What follows is a painful descent—not just into poverty, but into the humiliating ruin of his identity. As dignity is stripped away, Tilo’s only hope lies in a return he has long feared: to the father he betrayed and the household he abandoned. title: The Devil Owns the Fence A Call to Courageous Faith in a Culture of Comfortable Christianity
author: Ty W
category: nonfiction • subcategory: inspirational • date submitted: 6.9.2025 • author id: WeTyTh12825
word count: 30000
ContentWe are living in a moment of quiet drift…where conviction has been replaced with civility, obedience with overthinking, and faith with familiarity. For many modern Christians, the challenge is not unbelief but indecision. We know the name of Jesus. We affirm the core doctrines. But we live somewhere in the middle…straddling the fence between cultural comfort and courageous obedience. That middle, we tell ourselves, is safe. But what if it’s not? What if, as the title suggests, the devil owns the fence? This book speaks to the spiritual paralysis that defines so much of Western Christianity today…offering both a challenge and a testimony, drawn from my own drift and reawakening in Rwanda. It’s written especially for men, professionals, and cradle believers who are tired of playing defense with their faith. Many of them aren’t rebelling…they’re just stuck. This book invites them to move again. The Devil Owns the Fence is both pastoral and prophetic. It doesn’t shame the reader, but it does provoke him. Through short, honest chapters grounded in Scripture and real-life experience…from combat zones to corporate boardrooms to Catholic parish life…the book names the quiet compromises we’ve made and calls readers into a life of courageous obedience. Unlike many spiritual books, this isn’t an academic treatise or a list of life hacks. It’s a mirror, a challenge, and a commission. Each chapter surfaces a key tension…passivity, distraction, indecision, fear…and then invites the reader to take a step off the fence and into faith that costs something. Dr. Ty Wenglar writes not as a theologian, but as a man who’s been burned by comfort and saved by surrender. A Catholic convert, combat veteran, Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership, and nonprofit founder, he has spent decades helping leaders and communities rediscover meaning through movement. That same message now returns to its true home: the Church. This is not a roadmap. It’s a call. And the invitation is clear: It’s time to get off the fence.

title: The Last Christmas Tree
author: Maureen L
category: fiction • subcategory: children • date submitted: 5.27.2025 • author id: LaMaTh11625
word count: 2700
ContentBruce the Spruce lived in the great north. One day, he was cut down and shipped far away. At the farm stand, Bruce felt small, compared to the other trees. He grew sad. Suddenly, he heard laughter! He learned that he would be chosen by a family who would take him home, decorate him. Excited, Bruce waited, but nobody chose him. Saddened, he hopped into the field that night and danced. Needles fell to the ground. Though worried, he kept dancing. The next morning, the other trees warned him. “Stay still at night. Nobody will pick you if you look scrappy.” But Bruce didn’t listen. Surely, someone would choose him no matter his appearance. Each day passed and still nobody chose him, so he continued to dance, and more needles fell. By Christmas Eve, Bruce was the last Christmas tree on the lot, blotchy with bare spots. Sap trickled like tears. Late that night, a scrappy bearded man appeared. “You are perfect. Will you be mine?” The man brought Bruce out to the field under the swirling stars where the animals and birds decorated his branches. Bruce’s trunk filled with joy. He was made for such a time as this.

title: Renewed and Empowered: The Holy Spirit in Human Life
author: John S
category: nonfiction • subcategory: spiritualgrowth • date submitted: 5.19.2025 • author id: StudJo08325
word count: 105000
ContentWhat if the Holy Spirit is the key to becoming fully and vibrantly human? Many Christians view the Holy Spirit as a distant force or mystery, unrelated to our humanity. Others see the Spirit as a “spiritual upgrade,” implying that true spiritual growth requires transcending our body, mind, and emotions. But what if the opposite is true? This book challenges common misconceptions and invites us to rediscover the Holy Spirit as God’s personal, indwelling presence who restores every aspect of our being—heart, soul, body, mind, spirit, will and even our relationships and life-calling. Drawing from Scripture, theology, and contemporary scientific insights, readers will discover what it means to know the Spirit intimately, to understand and experience the Spirit as the one who renews our entire humanity into the likeness of Christ’s and empowers us to fully embody Christ’s presence in the world. This book answers several critical questions: How can a divine Person take up residence within a human person? How does the Spirit renew proper cognitive function? How does the indwelling Spirit transform the human will to align with the divine will? How does the Spirit transfer Christ’s attributes to the human heart? How does the indwelling Spirit bring forth physical healing and promote bodily discipline? How does the indwelling Spirit transform interpersonal dynamics? Can the Spirit guide individuals in discerning and creatively activating their calling?

title: Jerusalem Across the Sea
author: Todd C
category: fiction • subcategory: historical • date submitted: 5.2.2025 • author id: CoToJe9125
word count: 73200
ContentWorking Title: Jerusalem Across the Sea Dr. Edward Norfleet is an expert on the French Children’s Crusade of 1212. He has studied the history, he has visited the actual sites, and he’s procured artifacts of that time for the Morgan Library & Museum in New York. Still, this heart-rending medieval story is more than mere historical fascination to Dr. Norfleet—to him, the Crusade of Stephen means something far more profound and personal. But what is it about this sad crusade and the legendary “Boy on the Water” that continually draws him back to the year of 1212? Perhaps the answer lies in the story of Benjamin, a French peasant boy who is raised in a tiny village in central France. His father once fought in the Levant. His mother is wholly devoted to her son and is also devout in her faith. Still, when bands of children prophets march throughout the country preaching a glorious crusade of children to Jerusalem, Benjamin becomes obsessed with being amongst that number. In the end, he succeeds in running away from home. But what will become of him—and the thousands of other children who follow the boy prophet, Stephen?

title: The Watchman's Call
author: Scott T
category: nonfiction • subcategory: churchissues • date submitted: 3.22.2025 • author id: ThScTh5225
word count: 50000
ContentIn an age where the church is often silent in the face of cultural and political upheaval, The Watchman’s Call issues a bold challenge: it’s time for believers to step into their God-given role as watchmen over their communities. Scott Thomson, a seasoned pastor and three-term city council member, weaves together personal testimony, biblical wisdom, and real-world leadership experience to answer a pressing question: Can the Church engage in civic life without losing sight of its spiritual calling? With raw honesty, Thomson shares his journey—from the pulpit to public office, from personal heartbreak to divine redemption, from navigating political storms to witnessing God’s faithfulness in city governance. His story is not just one of survival but of revival—a call to action for Christians to rise up, pray, and lead with integrity in the public square. Through the powerful examples of Joseph, Daniel, and Nehemiah, along with historical testimonies of faith-driven leaders, The Watchman’s Call provides a practical roadmap for believers who want to influence culture, advocate for justice, and shape communities through faith-driven action. This book is not about political partisanship. It is about restoring the Church’s voice where it belongs: as a beacon of truth, righteousness, and hope. For those who have ever wondered whether faith and civic engagement can coexist, this book will inspire, equip, and ignite a passion to stand boldly in the gap for a nation in need of God’s transformation.

title: PANTS ON FIRE: 100 Days to Freedom Through God's Truth
author: Curtis A
category: nonfiction • subcategory: spiritualgrowth • date submitted: 3.21.2025 • author id: ALEXCU807425
word count: 52800
ContentThese 100 daily essays, arranged in ten focused chapters, are designed to open readers’ eyes and minds to the terrible danger of believing anything the evil one says. He is incapable of telling the truth, and we ignore that to our own peril. PANTS ON FIRE offers a biblical perspective on ten issues that are crucial to successful, satisfying living in today’s challenging culture. Every day exposes a common lie the devil tells, and God’s faithful response (plus more devilish lies in an appendix—150 in all). The goal of PANTS ON FIRE is to focus God’s microscope on every decision, every attitude, in light of the devil’s relentless untruths. It separates Satan’s specious interpretations of reality from God’s dependable veracity. The book aims to instill a truth–centric worldview for believers, making careful, godly examination a moment–by–moment part (dare I say, ‘habit’?) of their lives. The book’s Big Idea is: “Learn to separate the devil’s untruths from God’s truth, so you can live a productive, meaningful and successful life.”

title: Foundations for Faith
author: Susan S
category: nonfiction • subcategory: theology • date submitted: 3.1.2025 • author id: ScSuFo3125
word count: 112000
ContentInstilling a solid understanding of doctrine in children is vital to helping them have a desire to walk in the ways of the Lord, but the mere mention of the words “doctrine”, “theology”, and “discipleship” makes everyone’s eyes glaze. Foundations for Faith is a comprehensive, systematic theology/discipleship course for youth that enables six-year-old children to not only understand and apply Bible doctrine to daily life, but makes Christian living both desirable and attainable for them. It addresses the “So what, why should I care?” question and moves the tedious details from the uninspiring “Fun facts to know and tell” category, to the “That makes sense, I can do that” column. Written in a non-condescending manner to which kids can relate without being bored, the 223 lessons of approximately 400 words cover twenty categories, addressing all the doctrines of the church (except end times). Presented in catechism style to direct attention and aid in review and Bible memory, lessons build precept upon precept, rather than assembling prefab units, to promote an understanding of how the pieces fit together. While written for use in children’s ministries, they have been successfully used over the past twenty years with teens and adults.

title: Taste and See: How God Speaks to Us Through Food & Drink
author: Brendan G
category: nonfiction • subcategory: biblecommentary • date submitted: 2.28.2025 • author id: GaBrTa2225
word count: 75000
ContentFor as long as people have walked this Earth, they’ve needed something to eat and something else to wash it down with. Food and drink are the universal languages that span history, nations, languages and customs. It’s no wonder God chose to speak to us this way - it’s the only way we’d all understand it, and it’s arguably the best way we’d comprehend His love! This book will investigate the many instances in which food and drink are used in the Bible to illustrate God’s will and purpose for His people. It will often put different passages in conversation with one another to help modern readers understand ancient metaphors. The goal of this project is to offer readers a new lens through which to view the Word. This lens, because of our deep familiarity with food and drink, should make the Bible all the more accessible and clear. While this book could serve as a structural template for a sermon series or life group curriculum, it can also be independently read by firm believers and the spiritually curious alike. In either case, the reader will find a deeper connectivity of Scripture and develop a greater appreciation for God’s love every time they dig in to their “daily bread.”

Her father says they’re in a long battle against drought and dust storms and swarms of grasshoppers. A battle fought with grit and prayer and courage. But Ruthie does not feel very brave. It doesn’t help that her brother Roy loves to tease her with creepy critters and scary stories. She worries that kids at school will laugh at her shyness and her ragged clothes—and her clumsiness at games. Especially Alice, who is so mean. Sometimes Ruthie’s sleep is interrupted by dreams of terrifying howls and neighbourhood troublemakers and a mysterious drifter. Ruthie loves her dog, Rover. He is such a good listener and knows how to make her feel better when she’s worried or afraid. What would she do if anything ever happened to Rover? Ruthie has another even bigger worry. Will the drought force her family to abandon their farm and move to a shantytown in the city? In this dry, dusty land—in the midst of her fears and worries—can Ruthie find a path to courage? Written for children aged 8 to 12, this book also includes discussion questions for use with parents, grandparents, teachers and homeschool groups.

title: Why is the Gate So Narrow?
author: John G
category: nonfiction • subcategory: theology • date submitted: 2.15.2025 • author id: GrJoWh1625
word count: 20000
ContentIn a pluralistic society that embraces religious diversity, Christians still claim the Gospel excludes all other paths to God. But why only one way? Why not many ways instead? Human beings have been given an awareness of both a creator beyond and a conscience within. Jesus (alone among spiritual teachers) claims to rule from beyond and promises to dwell within the hearts of believers. Although sympathetic in tone to religious outsiders, the book makes a solid case for Jesus as ultimately the only satisfactory answer as to why “the gate is narrow” (Matthew 7:14). Besides Scripture, the book draws insights from C.S. Lewis’ observations about the Tao, recent findings about curing obsessive-compulsive disorder, and the inspiration for the language of Esperanto, concluding that while religion may often be the problem, the grace that is found at the heart of the Gospel is the one solution that we all need most. The Good News offers reconciliation with the God who is beyond us and metamorphosis for what is within us, by His grace.
